NOVA v0.26.0
What's New
Diplomacy
- The chat is thoroughly reworked: threads group by day, a divider marks where the new messages start, and opening a conversation takes you straight to what you haven't read.
- You can see when the other commander is typing, and a "New messages" pill appears if something arrives while you're reading older history — tap it to jump down.
- The channel row and tab bar stay put while you scroll, and the message box now stays in view as a conversation grows.
- Type @ to mention a star or a commander — mentions are tappable and pan the map right to them.
- Each private thread opens with a dossier of the other commander — their strength, their nearest star to you, and any pending deals — tap it to unfold the contract and territory actions.
- Longer messages are easier to write: the composer grows with your text, and every channel keeps its own unsent draft.
Contracts and star sales
- A deal now goes through whole or not at all. If any part can't be completed when the moment comes, the contract is marked failed, nothing moves — no credits, no fleet, no star — and both of you are told why in the thread.
- Selling a star is now part of the galaxy's story: both parties get a "Bought" / "Sold" record in comms, and the star's history shows it changed hands — though the price stays between the two of you.
- The seller's evacuation fleet now reliably departs before the hand-over, and the destination picker only offers stars the fleet can actually reach.
- Typing a star's full name in the contract picker now completes it whatever the letter case.
The star map
- Choose what the map shows beside each star — ships, factories, or wealth — and see any of them as a glowing cloud across your territory.
Quality of life
- Opening the app after a long time away lands you on Comms, so the news is the first thing you see.
- The Stats panel now counts your ships in transit, so your fleet total doesn't dip while fleets are between stars.
- A game you create now stays on the Join tab until you take a seat in it.
- Tapping a notification for the game you already have open no longer asks you to switch to it.
- The connection notice no longer flashes during routine reconnects, and it floats over the map instead of pushing it around.
Game replays
- Shared game pages replay more faithfully: fleets hand off at their waypoints so garrisons never show negative ships, quiet landings are no longer drawn as battles, and sold stars change hands at the true moment of sale.
