NOVA v0.10.0
What's New
World Maps
- New balanced world galaxies for 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 commanders give every player a fair, recognizable starting position on a familiar map of six continents.
- When you create a game you can now pick one of these ready-made worlds instead of a randomly scattered galaxy, or load a saved map of your own.
Choosing Your Home World
- The lobby now shows each commander slot together with the home world it would give you, so when you join a game you can see and pick exactly where in the galaxy you'll start.
- You command a single commander per game — joining is locked to the slot you claim, so you can no longer end up split across two positions by accident.
Planning Your Moves
- When you pick a destination, the command panel now shows the estimated travel time to arrival alongside the route and distance, so you can judge a launch before committing.
- You can clear the ship-count field and type any number of ships directly; the launch button waits until the amount is valid.
- A new fit-to-view button reframes the whole galaxy in one tap, and the map no longer shrinks away into empty space when you zoom out.
Jump Gates
- Gate pricing is clearer and fairer: you now pay for the extra speed a gate adds over flying, so a faster gate costs more and the slowest gate you can build is twice normal speed.
- A jump gate is destroyed along with its star: nova-bomb either end and the gate disappears from the map.
Map Editor
- Tap a star to open a detail sidebar, nudge it with the arrow keys, or fine-tune its position with x/y steppers for precise hand-built galaxies.
