NOVA v0.20.0
What's New
A tabbed control room
- The panel beside the map (web) and the pull-up sheet (mobile) are now organised into four tabs — Command, Diplomacy, Comms, and Fleets — so nothing important hides below the fold.
- Nova remembers which tab you were on in each game, and a game with unread messages opens straight to Diplomacy, with an unread badge on the tab.
- Selecting a star or fleet opens its panel over the active tab; close it with the × in its corner, or just tap another tab. The old "Back" and "Cancel order" links are gone — one convention everywhere.
- Panel titles now say what each section holds — Stats, Messages, News wire, In transit — instead of repeating the tab name.
Autopilot is now private
- Whether a commander is on autopilot is their business alone: no more announcement in the Global channel and no AUTO tag in the standings. To everyone else, autopilot moves look like any other moves.
- If the autopilot is flying your empire, you can't miss it: a banner across the top of the game says so, with a link to the manual — and issuing any command dismisses it and takes back control.
Know your income
- The Command tab's Stats panel now shows your Wealth — the credits your stars will pay at the next production cycle — right beside your treasury.
Smarter out-of-range help
- Spy probes and nova bombs now get the same helpful hint as fleets when a target is out of reach: exactly how much Range you'd need, with a one-tap Buy Range button when you can afford it.
- The quote is honest about how each unit travels: probes and bombs fly direct, so their number is the full distance — no relaying through your stars.
Help where you need it
- Every panel's ? now opens the most fitting part of the player manual — the star panel goes to Reading the Star Map, the news wire to its own new manual section, and the Fleets tab straight to the section that explains it.
- The manual itself has been refreshed throughout, with up-to-date screenshots of the new tabbed layout.
