NOVA v0.14.0

What's New

Private Games and Join Codes

  • You can now create a private theatre that never shows up in the public games list. When you make one, NOVA gives you a short join code to share with the commanders you want to invite.
  • To join a private game, use the Have a join code? box on the Join screen and type the code you were given — NOVA opens that game's lobby so you can claim a slot like any other game.
  • A join code is good for 72 hours while the game is still forming.

Buy Range and Speed Where You Need Them

  • You can now buy a Range upgrade straight from a star's details, without going back to the Command panel.
  • When you set up a Send fleet order, you can buy Range or Speed right there on the dispatch screen — handy when a target sits just out of reach or a trip looks too slow. The travel estimate updates the moment you buy, so you can watch a destination come into range or a journey get shorter before you launch.

Clearer Battle Intelligence

  • When an enemy captures one of your stars, you now see the enemy's remaining ships on that star — the garrison that took it and holds it — instead of the older count you had scouted. Even a costly loss tells you exactly what a counterattack would face.
  • A star destroyed by a nova bomb now appears darker on the map and shows no wealth or ship numbers — there's nothing left there to read.

Manage Your Account

  • You can now permanently delete your account from the Account tab. Deleting signs you out and removes your login for good; any commander you had in a running game is left in place so the other commanders' games carry on uninterrupted.

Maps

  • The world-style galaxies have been renamed (the Earth map is now Planet Earth), with refreshed territory names.
