Privacy Policy

NOVA is a game published by Goo Global LLC (“Goo Global,” “we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what information the NOVA game and website (novagame.app) collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve kept it deliberately small, because NOVA collects very little: essentially just what’s needed to sign you in and run your games.

The short version

  • We require sign-in (Apple or Google), so we receive your email address and a provider account identifier. We never see or store a password.
  • We store your gameplay and any messages you send to other commanders.
  • We do not use advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking, and we never sell or rent your information.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and a unique account identifier (the provider’s “subject” ID) from that provider, used to recognize your account. We do not receive or store your password. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we only ever see Apple’s private relay address.
  • Gameplay data. The games (“theatres”) you join, your commander’s stars, fleets, orders, and other in-game actions.
  • Messages. Messages you send through in-game Diplomacy are stored and shown to their intended recipients (the other commanders in that conversation).
  • Push notification tokens. If you turn on notifications in the mobile app, we store your device’s push token solely to deliver game notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
  • Support requests. If you contact us through the support form on the website, we receive the name, email, and message you submit.
  • Technical data. Like any online service, our servers keep standard logs (such as IP address and timestamps) used to operate NOVA reliably and to prevent abuse.

What we don’t do

NOVA contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not build advertising profiles, and we never sell or rent your personal information.

How we use information

  • To authenticate you and maintain your account.
  • To run the game — process your orders, resolve battles, and show you the galaxy.
  • To deliver the notifications you opt into.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate NOVA, and share with each only what it needs to do its job:

  • Apple and Google — verifying your sign-in (you authenticate directly with them).
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting and database, in the United States.
  • Expo — delivering mobile push notifications (only if you enable them).
  • Cloudflare and Formspree — hosting this website and handling support-form submissions.

None of these providers are advertisers, and we do not share your data for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and gameplay data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its associated data at any time using the support form. We will delete it, except where we must retain limited information to meet a legal obligation or to prevent fraud or abuse.

Children

NOVA is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

Connections to NOVA use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Sign-in relies on provider-issued tokens and short-lived session tokens; we never handle your account password.

Where your data is processed

NOVA is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. If you use NOVA from outside the United States, you understand your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, use the support form and we’ll respond. You can also turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and update the “Effective” date above.
